Exploring 3D printing

The 3D printer has been busily whirring away in the Strata office as we explore the workflow for 3D printing on future projects. This ‘test piece’ is of Chesterfield House, a mixed-use scheme in Wembley. With the potential to help us and our clients evaluate concepts and spatial quality, test design iterations and quickly identify potential issues, the printer is a useful tool. A physical model print has a tactile quality clients and investors love and can communicate height, scale and massing more effectively than a render.
