Installation is underway for one of Rushden Lakes key external features. Designed to integrate sensitively into its context and landscape, the bespoke central boulevard water feature and 56m rill mimic the natural fall towards the lake and provide a playful space for people to splash about in and cool down on hot days.
Concept designed in-house, with subsequent detailed collaboration with Ustigate, 93 standard units form the sinuous rill. One mould was used to create a standard radiused unit which is reversed to create the opposing curves. Testing and commissioning will follow shortly.
